Safe Sleep Practices for a Healthy Start
The Infant Safe Sleep program is dedicated to reducing risks associated with unsafe sleep practices for infants in Lake, Porter, Newton, and Jasper Counties. Through free, one-hour sessions, parents and caregivers learn how to create a safe sleep environment using proven guidelines, including the importance of placing babies alone, on their back, in a crib.
Participants also gain access to expert advice on bedding, mattress selection, and safe room-sharing practices. As part of our commitment to supporting new parents, we provide a free pack-n-play to ensure every baby has a safe place to sleep during their first year.
